2023 Arts Awards recipients were celebrated at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre last night.
There were 14 nominees for awards in four categories: Established Artist, Emerging Artist, Arts in Education, and Making a Difference. One special nominee was also recognized with the Jury’s Pick Award.

I am encouraged to see the announcement today that the Niagara Region will be building a temporary, modular facility to house 50 shelter spaces in St. Catharines.
