Programs

The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre offers a wide variety of diverse in-person and virtual guided programs, tours, and group experiences.

Group experiences

The museum offers a variety of guided group experiences for all ages. Curriculum-based school programs focused on local history allow students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 to learn about the community around them while fulfilling educational requirements in an engaging environment. Group experiences are also available for tourist bus groups, local organizations and service clubs, Scouting and Guiding troupes, and members of the public.

Virtual programs

The museum produces digital content on a number of platforms including YouTube and Word Press, as well as social media platforms. The Virtual Museum Lecture Series, the most popular of the online offerings, is available on YouTube and features over 30 lectures on local history topics.

STC StoryLab

A multi-year oral history project that collects and shares the oral history and living memory of St. Catharines, STC StoryLab explores the stories and memories of many St. Catharines residents, building a comprehensive collection of personal local histories that give our city a collective identity. The museum is actively recruiting community members to participate and share their story. Visit the STC StoryLab page for more information.
