Enjoy ‘Rec @ the Rink’ at Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre this spring and summer

Get ready to enjoy pickleball, roller / inline skating, ball hockey, box soccer, cornhole and lacrosse skills and drills June 9 through mid-August at Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre.

Today, the City launches “’Rec @ the Rink’ – your dry alternative to frozen fun” to offer programming on the arena’s four pads starting on Monday. During this time, a major refrigeration replacement project is taking place and there will be no ice in operation at the arena at 240 St. Paul St. W.

The City of St. Catharines today unveiled a special exhibit, titled “Pride in Every Step, Love in Every Action,” on the front steps of City Hall featuring the words of local 2SLGBTQI+ Poet Victoria Ashleigh Rose.

“Pride in Every Step, Love in Every Action” marks the City’s first Poetry Callout, as well as its inaugural Artist Callout specifically to 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

Registration for summer recreation programs opens June 10

Registration for summer swimming and recreation and culture programs at the City of St. Catharines is set to open on the following schedule:

• Online registration for residents opens Tuesday, June 10 at 6 p.m.
• Walk-in registration for residents opens Wednesday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m.
• Online registration for everyone opens Thursday, June 12 at 6 p.m.
• Walk-in registration for everyone opens Friday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m.

St. Catharines Fallen Firefighters Memorial is one step closer to being realized following a $50,000 donation by the St. Catharines Club.

City Seeking Public Input on Parking Services Review

Public Meeting Set for June 2; Online Survey Now Open

The City of St. Catharines is reviewing how parking is managed across the community and is inviting residents to help shape the future of parking in the city.

The City has retained a consultant to conduct a comprehensive review of parking services, with a focus on improving operations, enforcement, and the user experience in key areas including the downtown core, Lakeside Park, Sunset Beach and Jones Beach.
