Seniors' Centre Without Walls

Stay connected from the comfort of home – all you need is a telephone.

The City of St. Catharines is proud to offer Seniors’ Centre Without Walls, a free, telephone-based program for residents aged 50 and older. Designed to support social connections and lifelong learning, the program makes it easy for older adults to participate in interactive activities without leaving home.

What is Seniors’ Centre Without Walls?

This innovative program allows participants to join a toll-free group call with up to 15 people. From friendly conversations and trivia games to engaging discussions on local history and more, every session offers a chance to learn, laugh and connect.

Led by staff from our Older Adult Centres and knowledgeable guest speakers, the program is ideal for those who may have limited access to in-person events or simply prefer a more accessible option.

Program Details

• When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

• Time: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

• Where: Your phone – just dial in!

Membership

With an older adult centres' membership, you can participate in activities at all three older adult centres, as well as older adult drop-in programs at community centres. Programs are open to members and to residents for a single-entry fee. Memberships can be purchased in person at any of the centres or online through ActiveSTC.

Rates and fees

Our older adult centres' rates and fees include the following prices (all prices include HST):

• Older Adults' Centre Membership Card (Adults 50+, January to December): $62.55
• Older Adults' Centre Membership Card (Adults 50+, April to December): $47.00
• Older Adults' Centre Membership Card (Adults 50+, July to December): $31.45
• Older Adults' Centre Membership Card (Adults 50+, October to December): $15.80
• Older Adults' Centre Membership Card (Adults 90+): No charge
• Older Adult Class Single Entry Fee (with membership): $2.35 per class
• Older Adult Class Single Entry Fee (without membership): $3.75 per class
