Black History Month
The Black community has a rich and storied past in St. Catharines. We celebrate Black History Month annually with various interpretive programs, including tours, film screenings, lectures and talks, and our annual Black History Month blog series. Family Day at the Museum
Family Day at the museum is an exciting day of activities and tours that everyone of any age can enjoy. The most popular staple of our Family Day event is the behind-the-scenes guided tours of our collection vaults. Watch the Museum Calendar for details and information.
Tyke Hikes and Community Walks
Spend the summer weekends exploring the history in your own backyard.
- Tyke hikes, running Saturdays in July and August will engage children ages 4-8 with a fast-paced and interactive 30-45 minute Jr. Engineer program, during which they can earn an official Jr. Engineer badge. Pre-registration is required, watch the Museum Calendar for details and information.
- Community walks, running some Saturdays in July and August, are guided walks with museum staff along some of the City's most storied pathways, including Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Paul Street, Mountain Locks Park, and Downtown St. Catharines. Each community walk offering is different, so check the Museum Calendar for more information about any upcoming walks. Guided Spirit Walks at Victoria Lawn Cemetery

Stories from the Front
During this live performance our cast of readers brings to life the stories of war, sacrifice, loss, and hope. This dramatic presentation includes stories, letters, diaries, and memories of soldiers at the Front and of those left behind during the First and Second World Wars. The Mitten Tree Campaign
Help local families in need with donations of winter clothing to the museum's annual Mitten Tree Campaign. Bring a pair of mittens, hats, scarves, and other winter wear to decorate the Mitten Tree. This campaign benefits Out of the Cold and Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
