The City of St. Catharines has initiated a Water Master Servicing Plan to identify a preferred water distribution system strategy that will continue to meet the needs of existing users and the needs of future customers to the year 2051. The Water Master Servicing Plan will:
The Water Master Servicing Plan will guide the City in making the best possible decisions regarding the operation, maintenance and capital replacement of the City’s water distribution system assets.
The Water Master Servicing Plan is being completed in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process for Master Planning. It is following an Approach #1 Master Plan satisfying Phases 1 and 2 of the MEA Class EA process.
Key audience input is a critical part of the Master Planning process. The City of St. Catharines encourages its residents, businesses, and other interested parties to participate in the development of the Water Master Servicing Plan. A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held part of the study to help the public stay informed and provide an opportunity to give the project team feedback. Once the study is complete, the results will be published in the Master Servicing Plan Report that will be available for public review.
