City staff and Councillors were joined by members of the Old Glenridge Community Association (OGCA) and members of the Partridge and Miller families to celebrate the official opening of Partridge Park, recognize the park donors, and unveil a plaque honouring Bob Miller’s contributions to the community.

With just more than 24 hours before the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks was set to present updated results of its monitoring of 282-285 Ontario Street in St. Catharines to City Council, MECP staff have notified the City they will not be attending the meeting.

The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre has expanded its permanent site-specific installation – History InSite – to include Port Dalhousie.
The installation holds historical photographs from the museum’s collection against current St. Catharines streetscapes by presenting the modern photos at, or very close to, the places where they were originally taken.

The City is seeking public input as it establishes a new Parkland Dedication By-law which is set to replace the existing by-law passed in 1974.
The by-law is a growth-funding tool available to municipalities under the Planning Act, allowing land for parks purposes to be acquired or improved.
