In downtown St. Catharines, you can apply for a monthly parking at City-owned parking lots for a fee. Due to the demand for parking in the downtown core, we issue parking permits on a first-come, first-served basis.
How to pay
You can buy parking permits by:
- For surface lot and garage permits you can pay via credit card by calling 905.688.5600, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Cheque using the mail slot at City Hall's James Street entrance
- Appointment, in person at City Hall

How do I sign up for recurring payments?
When you visit Citizens First at City Hall to buy a monthly parking permit, you can ask for recurring payments. We accept VISA and MasterCard. We will ask you for your credit card information and the dollar amount that you are pre-authorizing.

If you need a monthly parking permit for the Ontario Street Garage or Garden Park/Carlisle Street Garage, you will need to read and complete a Monthly Parking Agreement before you apply.
