Live music. Community groups. More vendors. More fun. The St. Catharines Farmers Market is ready for summer.
Located at Market Square at 91 King St. in Downtown St. Catharines, Saturdays at the Farmer’s Market run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature the return of Music in the Square on the Market Square stage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (on most Saturdays) and opportunities to be better connect with local groups and organizations through the Community Engagement Series. Kicking off Saturday, May 17 the St. Catharines Farmers Market also expands outside until mid-October with more vendors and an outdoor seating area near the historic former Lincoln County Courthouse.
This Saturday, Avenue Inn kicks off Music in the Square and the live entertainment will continue each week through to October. Community groups at Saturday’s market will include the Mushroom Project and the Niagara African Caribbean Culture Organization. Learn more at stcatharines.ca/market.
The Market Discovery Table, another Farmers Market favourite, begins its summer schedule Saturday, June 28. The Market Discovery Table, open from 9:30 a.m. until noon, is celebrating 15 years of interactive experiences with locally grown food and local growers.
The St. Catharines Farmers Market is also open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays.
