St. Catharines Fire Services (SCFS) is proud to welcome another emergency dispatch partner. As part of a new Fire Dispatch Services agreement, SCFS is now providing emergency call-taking and dispatch services to Bruce County.
Bruce County is comprised of 8 municipalities including:
“We are very excited to now offer our professional services to Bruce County and warmly welcome them aboard,” said St. Catharines Deputy Fire Chief Andrea DeJong.
SCFS also provides emergency dispatch services to eight other communities in Niagara region, as well as Haldimand County, Norfolk County, Prince Edward County, Hastings County, and Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
The agreement with SCFS also prepares Bruce County to meet the mandatory transition to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s (CRTC) Next Gen 911 (NG 911) system.
