As of Sunday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m., City officials lifted the winter parking ban and significant weather event declarations originally issued on Jan. 15. Thanks to City crews for their efforts to cleanup after the winter storm, and to residents for their patience and support.
Another blast of winter is possible, however. We remain under a snow squall warning, with the potential of 20-40 cm of snow tonight into Monday. Watch Environment Canada for updates: https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?onrm48=
With more snow on the way, a reminder to property owners: it is your responsibility to clear the full width of sidewalks. You must clear to bare pavement the front of, beside of and at the rear of your property. Now is a great time to ensure it's cleaned up before the next round of snow.
