Has a certain garden in the neighbourhood caught your eye? Help us give credit where credit is due: nominate beautiful gardens for a City of St. Catharines Trillium Award.
Nominations for the annual Trillium Awards are now open. Residents are encouraged to nominate beautiful front-yard properties until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. Entry is free.
All St. Catharines properties, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties, are eligible for Trillium Awards in two categories: Civic Beautification (2 for each ward) and Community’s Choice, based on a public online poll held in July after the initial round of nominations closes. One property will earn the Mayor’s Award as the best front-yard property from all nominations.
In addition, the Green Leader award recognizes an individual or community organization for a significant contribution to greening the community in an environmentally sustainable way, and inspiring others to do so as well.
The Trillium Awards promotes neighbourhood beautification, challenges residents and organizations to level up their property’s curb appeal and recognizes gardeners who make St. Catharines more beautiful and friendly through their creative, sustainable, and ecologically beneficial landscaping.
A panel of judges will evaluate nominations in July. Winners will be recognized at the 2026 Trillium Awards celebration in the fall.
