The Province of Ontario has recognized the City of St. Catharines for its progress in meeting provincial housing targets.

New Merritton splash pad opens at Secord Woods Park

A new, accessible and inclusive splash pad has opened up in Merritton just in time for summer.

Mayor Mat Siscoe was joined by members of City Council, City staff and the Recreation Master Plan Advisory Committee to “officially” turn on the water on at the new Secord Woods Park Splash Pad Tuesday, June 10.

Registration for summer recreation programs opens June 10

Registration for summer swimming and recreation and culture programs at the City of St. Catharines is set to open on the following schedule:

• Online registration for residents opens Tuesday, June 10 at 6 p.m.
• Walk-in registration for residents opens Wednesday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m.
• Online registration for everyone opens Thursday, June 12 at 6 p.m.
• Walk-in registration for everyone opens Friday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m.
