The City of St. Catharines is modernizing its parking system by removing all remaining coin-only single-space parking meters.
The City will replace these outdated meters with a combination of HONK pay-by-phone zones, pay-and-display multi-space meters, and two-hour parking restrictions. Council adopted the Waterfront Access Master Plan (WAMP) at its May 27 meeting.
The City’s WAMP provides recommendations to improve access, connectivity, and enjoyment of the Lake Ontario waterfront at City-owned shoreline properties.
