Application A-35/25 seeks relief from the City of St Catharines Zoning By-law 2013-283, as
amended for the following variances for two accessory dwelling units proposed to be
constructed in an existing detached accessory building:
- An increase of the maximum height for an accessory structure from 6.0 metres to 7.0 metres, measured to the peak of roof.
- An increase of the maximum height for all parts of any walls or supporting posts, excluding any gable or dormer on an accessory structure from 4.5 metres to 7.0 metres.
- An increase in the maximum encroachment of the exterior staircase including landing into the required rear yard from 1.2m to 4.8m.
- To permit openings on an accessory structure to a maximum height of 5.1 metres on facades facing the rear and interior and lot lines.
