Minor Variance Application details (A-11/26)
Application A-11/26 seeks relief from the St. Catharines Zoning By-law 2013-283, as amended, for the following variances to facilitate a daycare as an Employee Convenience Facility.
- To permit public use of the employee convenience facility
- To increase the total GLFA (Gross Leasable Floor Area) of the building for all employee convenience facilities combined from 5 per cent to 8 per cent.
Hearing Participation
- Please submit any comments in writing to the Secretary-Treasurer by 4 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2026, or you can appear in person and make a verbal presentation to the Committee. Please note that all Committee of Adjustment Hearings will be held in-person at City Hall on the Third Floor in Council Chambers. City Hall is located at 50 Church St., St. Catharines, Ont. (Please use the James Street entrance).

- An appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) may be dismissed if no written or verbal submissions were made at the hearing before the Committee gives or refuses to give approval to an application. Pursuant to the More Homes Built Faster Act, Appeals may be submitted by the Applicant, the Minister or a specified person or public body that has an interest in the matter.
