Summer is here, and the City’s pools are set to open to help everyone beat the heat.
The City’s outdoor pools open for the summer season on June 27: Lincoln Park’s small, free pool will open at 11 a.m., and Lion Dunc Schooley Pool’s small, free pool and large pool, and Port Dalhousie Pool’s small, free pool and large pool will open at 1 p.m.
St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatic Centre’s Leisure Pool and Lane Pool will also reopen on June 27 at 5:30 a.m. after being closed since June 9 for annual maintenance.
Drop-in swim lessons for children ages three to 12 will be held this summer from June 30 to Aug. 26 at Lion Dunc Schooley Pool for $6.03 per lesson per person. There are three levels to choose from: Just Getting Started, Learn to Swim and Skill Development. Register at stcatharines.ca/ActiveSTC.

Residents can also cool off at the City’s splash pads, which opened for the season in May, including the new, accessible Secord Woods Park Splash Pad opened earlier this month in Merritton, as well as the others at Bogart Street Park, Catherine Street Park, Lester B. Pearson Park, and West Park. Admission is free. Splash pads are open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
