The City of St. Catharines has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment study to explore viable options for a secondary access for Moffatt Street, a local roadway in an isolated pocket of homes on the west side of the former Welland Canal valley lands. The study will explore all possible options to provide additional road access, since there are no alternate access points currently serving Moffatt Street residents.

The City will select a preferred secondary access solution in consultation with the public, stakeholders and external agencies. The project concludes with an Environmental Study Report, which will be available for public review.
The project team held two Public Information Centres in 2021, providing more information about the project to residents, and collecting feedback and input.
