The City of St. Catharines Older Adult Centre (OAC) art calendar is now available for purchase, with a portion of proceeds supporting The RAFT.
Back for a third year, the 12-month 2026 calendar showcases art created by members of the City’s OAC recreational painting program, who meet weekly. This year's list of talented contributing artists includes Linda Shedden, Donna Orr, Wendy Schuit, Antoinette Lintack, Terry Morin, Nancy Teminski, Peg Noble, Isabel Streeter, Steve Drake, Shirley Conway, Graham Sibley, Sarah McCallum, David Rose, and Sid.
The calendar program has raised $2000 during its tenure, with last year’s recipient The Owl Foundation receiving $1200. The inaugural edition benefitted Pathstone Mental Health, who received $800.
“All of our artists volunteered their time to create these pieces for the calendar” said Simone Phelan, Older Adult Co-ordinator. “It is for a great cause.”
The calendar is available for purchase from both Dunlop Drive and West St. Catharines OAC, Russell Ave and Port Weller Community Centre, the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre, and the St. Catharines Museum gift shop, for $10.
Some of the original art used for the calendar, as well as additional separate pieces, can also be viewed in-person at Dunlop Drive OAC, with some pieces available for purchase. The centre is located at 80 Dunlop Dr., St. Catharines.
