
With a strong service record and decades of service to the community, the City of St. Catharines has announced Tim Marotta has been selected as the Director of Municipal Works.
With more than 30 years experience guiding infrastructure development, engineering operations, and public works programming, Marotta will take on the role after serving for the last three years as the City’s Manager of Engineering and Construction in the Engineering department where he led delivery of the City’s capital projects.
“I’m excited to step into the role of Director of Municipal Works and embrace the new challenges ahead.” Marotta said, adding, “I look forward to working alongside our accomplished and dedicated team as we continue to deliver exceptional service to our community.”
“Tim has a dedicated track record of public works excellence and a strong commitment to serving the teams he leads. His extensive engineering and public works experience, here in St. Catharines and across Niagara, will help guide innovation and modernization, all while continuing to deliver services residents rely on.” said Erin O’Hoski, the City’s Deputy Chief Administrative Officer.
In addition to his time working for the City of St. Catharines, he has also worked in senior public works roles at the Town of Fort Erie as well as the Niagara Region. Marotta is also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and Municipal Engineering Association, and has served as Chair, Ontario Provincial Standards – Water Mains Committee and Treasurer of the Niagara Engineering Week Scholarship Committee.
