The City of St. Catharines is welcoming food trucks and mobile vendors back to City parks and open spaces for another season. Permit applications are now open for businesses keen to bring their unique flavours and signature dishes to some of the city’s most-popular outdoor destinations.
Interested vendors can apply anytime between March 1 and 31 at stcatharines.ca/2026VendorPermit. Spots are limited, so businesses are encouraged to apply early to secure their preferred location.
“We’re excited to welcome returning favourites and discover new local entrepreneurs who will help make this season vibrant, inclusive, and delicious for residents and visitors alike,” said Supervisor, Community Initiatives and Partnerships Kaylea Cassano. “These vendors bring energy, diversity and a strong sense of community to our parks and facilities.”
Vendors can request specific locations by including their preference on the application form, which will be reviewed based on parking availability, proximity to other food services, and alignment with City policies. Preference will be given to accessible, environmentally friendly, and Niagara-based businesses.
Lakeside Park and Sunset Beach will not be available for vendors during the 2026 season. Sunset Beach will be off-limits due to final phases of the renovation project, while Lakeside Park is ineligible as it already offers concession stand services. However, many prime locations across the city’s parks and facilities remain available.
Successful applicants will be required to obtain a Hawkers and Peddlers Licence, a food truck or mobile vending cart permit, and pay an environmental fee before setting up for the season.
The operating season runs from June 1 to Sept. 30, offering vendors a prime opportunity to engage with residents and visitors throughout the warmer months.
