Purpose and Effect
The purpose of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments is to permit a 9-unit residential townhouse development.
The effect of the Official Plan Amendment is redesignating the lands from Parkland and Open Space to Neighbourhood Residential and Low Density Residential.
The effect of By-law 2026-005 is rezoning the northern part of the lands from Major Green Space (G3) and the southern part from Major Green Space with a Holding Provision (G3-H1) to Low Density Residential – Traditional Neighbourhood with a new Special Provision (R2-180). Special Provision 180 (R2-180) permits an increased maximum number of attached dwelling units, a reduced minimum density per hectare and reduced minimum interior side yard and rear yard setbacks.
Community input has been received, considered and informed the decision of Council.
Complete copies of Official Plan Amendment No. 51 and By-law 2026-005 are available in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, during regular office hours.
