Active Transportation Priorities – Walker's Creek Trail Realignment at Lakeshore Road Project, Walker's Creek Park and Walker's Creek Trail
Please be advised that the contract for constructing a new multi-use trail realignment/extension section at Walker's Creek Park has been awarded. The successful Contractor, Rankin Construction Inc., is tentatively scheduled to start work in mid-May 2025. Weather permitting, the construction should take approximately three weeks to complete with final restorations.
The Walker's Creek Trail Extension is to suit the newly installed Pedestrian Crossing (PXO) by Niagara Region at Lakeshore Road, St. Catharines.

The Contractor will co-ordinate to ensure Emergency Services has access to properties throughout construction. Please contact us if you have specific accessibility requirements or concerns.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to abutting properties and to minimize inconvenience to businesses, residents and pedestrians. A construction inspector from the City will be present on-site during construction and can be contacted for information.
