Earth Day is on April 22, 2025
Make St. Catharines a more beautiful place by helping to clean up your neighbourhood or favourite park. Get a group together and let us know where you'll be pitching in on April 22, 2025.
Supplies like pickers, distinctive yellow trash bags and gloves are available from the City for free. Pick up supplies at St. Catharines Farmers Market at 91 King Street on April 19 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Email Forestry Supervisor Brett Cudmore with your clean-up location and the City will arrange to pick up the designated yellow trash bags. Please ensure all trash is collected in these yellow trash bags so they are easily identifiable as earth day clean-ups and not illegal dumping. Place them near a City trash can and they will be picked up that week.
A reminder to stay on City property, and make sure to avoid private property, railway tracks, and Ministry of Transportation (MTO) land adjacent to the highway or on / off ramps.
If sharps are found, volunteers should avoid handling them and contact Citizen’s First at citizensfirst@stcatharines.ca or 905.688.5600 to have them properly removed and disposed of.
Spring Clean-up is on May 17, 2025
Join the Clean City Task Force for our annual Spring Community Clean-up at Roehampton Park at 55 Roehampton Avenue and surrounding areas (such as the CNR spurline and Berkley Park) on May 17, 2025.
Contact Forestry Supervisor Brett Cudmore with any questions.
