City announces dates for opening of beaches, splash pads, golf course and other amenities

As the City prepares to enter Stage 2 of its STC Framework for Recovery residents can look forward to enjoying some time outdoors with the finalized dates for reopening select amenities.
Today the City announced finalized dates for the reopening of beaches, mausoleums at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery, splash pads, the Garden City Golf Course and select sports fields.

Paid parking returns July 1

In an effort to ensure parking is available for businesses as they reopen downtown, and employees returning to work, paid parking will return to the city core next month.
During its most recent meeting, City Council approved reinstating paid parking after a three-month hiatus in charging drivers for spaces on streets, off-street lots and garages.
As businesses reopen, drawing both visitors and employees downtown, demand for parking, most notably convenient on-street spaces, will continue to increase....

Firefighters will still be hitting the streets this Monday to help educate residents on fire safety, although it will be delivered a bit differently this summer during the current State of Emergency.

To help support local small businesses, today the City of St. Catharines is joining the ShopHERE powered by Google program, with a goal of getting more businesses online this year.
