Application A-29/25 seeks relief from the City of St. Catharines Zoning By-law No. 2013-283, as amended, for the following variances to facilitate the conversion of a detached garage into an accessory dwelling unit:
- To permit a detached accessory dwelling unit on a lot where the principal use is a triplex, and not a detached, semi-detached or townhouse dwelling unit.
- An increase in the maximum permitted parking area width within the front yard from 7.5 m to 10.04 m.

- Please submit any comments in writing to the Secretary Treasurer by 4 p.m. on July 9 2025, or you can appear in person and make a verbal presentation to the Committee. Please note, that all Committee of Adjustment Hearings will be held in-person in City Hall on the 3rd floor in Council Chambers. City Hall is located at 50 Church Street, St. Catharines, Ontario (Please use the James Street entrance).

- An appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) may be dismissed if no written, or verbal submission were made at time of the hearing before the Committee gives or refuses to give approval to an application. Pursuant to the More Homes Built Faster Act Appeals may be submitted by the Applicant, Minister or a specified person or public body that has an interest in the matter.
