Alectra service upgrades in downtown area

Alectra Utilities has provided notice of a number of upgrades to its distribution assets that are required in the downtown area as part of services to be provided to 57 Carlisle St.

In a notification letter, Alectra has said the following construction work will be completed starting this week:

• Distribution poles will be upgraded from 45 feet to 60 feet to accommodate on St. Paul Street West between 70 St. Paul St W and 56 St. Paul St W.

Port Dalhousie Piers winter safety notice

Barriers have temporarily been installed at the entrance to the east and west Port Dalhousie piers for the winter, in order to alert visitors that no winter maintenance takes place on the surface of the piers.

Conditions on the piers can become extremely slippery and hazardous – particularly in freezing temperatures - due to ice, snow, high winds and waves. No de-icing agents can be used for environmental reasons.

Visitors will be using the piers at their own risk and are urged to exercise caution.

Public notice: Long-term sidewalk closure around Carlisle Street parking garage

Due to construction, portions of the sidewalk on Carlisle Street and Garden Park are closed. Please plan to use an alternative route, as signed and only utilize open sidewalks and designated crosswalks.
