I am encouraged to see the announcement today that the Niagara Region will be building a temporary, modular facility to house 50 shelter spaces in St. Catharines. With just more than 24 hours before the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks was set to present updated results of its monitoring of 282-285 Ontario Street in St. Catharines to City Council, MECP staff have notified the City they will not be attending the meeting.
