Ownership of the Port Dalhousie Piers and harbour lands including Lakeside Park will be transferred to the City by the Honourable Joyce Murray, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans, and the Canadian Coast Guard, following Council support Monday.

Flags at City Hall are at half-mast in memory of former City of St. Catharines Mayor Alan Unwin.
Alan retired after his term as Mayor in 1997. Before becoming Mayor, Alan served three consecutive terms as a City of St. Catharines Councillor in the Port Dalhousie ward.
Alan's municipal political career followed a 30-plus-year career as an educator and school principal.

On April 30th, St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe presented the Key to the City to Tim Denis in honour of his accomplished career on the airwaves.
