Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

You can find electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the City of St. Catharines to recharge your vehicle. 

Charging stations can be found at various City properties, including:

  • Ontario Street parking garage

  • Carlisle Street parking garage

  • Meridian Centre

  • The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre

  • Lakeside Park

  • St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
  • St. Catharines City Hall

Using a charging station

The EV charging station is part of the FLO network. To use the EV charging station at City Hall, you can create a FLO account online or download the FLO app on your mobile device. Two electric vehicles can plug into the charging station at a time.

Can I park my vehicle in an EV charging station spot?

If you park your vehicle in an EV charging station spot, you must have a green licence plate.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes, regular parking rates and limits apply. You can pay for parking at the ticket machine or use the Honk Mobile app.

The City of St. Catharines has partnered with Alectra Utilities to boost access to EV charging stations downtown. Adding an EV charging station is part of St. Catharines' commitment to environmental sustainability. Our goal is to protect our environment for generations to come by supporting the use of environmentally friendly vehicles.
