Happy Rolph's Animal Farm

The City of St. Catharines owns and operates Happy Rolph's Animal Farm. Located at 650 Read Rd., Happy Rolph's Animal Farm provides a fun, free animal viewing and park exploration experience for all ages!

The animals have returned to Happy Rolph's and will be present until October.

Visitors can enjoy opportunities to see a variety of farm animals up close and experience diverse birds and plants, all in a natural, outdoor setting. You can enjoy quiet seating and viewing areas on the shores of Lake Ontario or alongside two ponds.

The park also features a playground, pavilion and walking trails to explore. Please note there is no petting of the animals at Happy Rolph's Animal Farm.

Hours of operation

Park visiting hours are from dawn until dusk each day. Farm animals are available to view:

• Summer hours (mid-May to Labour Day): Greenspace - dawn to dusk; Animal area - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Washrooms - 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Fall hours (Labour Day to mid-October): Greenspace - dawn to dusk; Animal area - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Washrooms - 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Offseason (mid-October to mid-May): Greenspace - dawn to dusk. The animal area and washrooms are closed.
