You can submit a water meter reading to the City of St. Catharines when:
- Receiving a water meter reading card
- You are moving and ready to vacate the premises, and a City official has not obtained a water meter reading yet
- You have a tenant moving in or out of the property and you wish to set up a Tenant Mailing Contract or have one in place
Submission options
When submitting a water meter reading, ensure you have your account and meter number. Both can be found on your water / wastewater bill or meter card.
You can submit a water meter reading with the City by choosing one of the following options:
- By using our online Water Meter Reading Form
- By phone at 905.688.5600 or by fax at 905.688.4077
- In-person at City Hall
Understanding your water meter
- If your water meter shows five digits followed by a tenths digit after a decimal point (number in black), please include the tenths digit in your submission.
- If your water meter shows five digits and more than one digit after the decimal point, please include only the first digit (the tenths digit) to the right of the decimal in your submission.
