This week’s STC150 post continues our series on shopping in St. Catharines and moves out of the downtown to the Pen Centre.

On July 20, Niagara District Airport received an investment of $9.7 million from the Government of Ontario to advance its airport redevelopment project, as outlined in its 2025-2045 Master Plan.

The Planning and Building Services Department received applications for an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and a Draft Plan of Subdivision for lands located at 1262 and 1290 Fourth Avenue.

The City of St. Catharines is embarking on a land use study to develop a vision, and ultimately a land use plan, to guide the future redevelopment of the former General Motors lands located on the east and west side of Ontario Street, immediately south of Carlton Street.

The Study, titled the Ontario Street Corridor Secondary Plan Study, is centred around 282 and 285 Ontario Street, but will also examine the entire Ontario Street corridor from the QEW Highway south to Welland Avenue.  The lands at 282 and 285 Ontario Street are located approximately in the middle of this corridor.
