The City of St. Catharines will use next week’s Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa to build on ongoing discussions with the Province of Ontario about the community’s flood recovery, while advocating for additional support for affected residents and long-term investments to strengthen the city’s resilience.

Volunteers from Samaritan’s Purse Canada have mobilized in St. Catharines as the City continues to work with the community and our government partners to support residents through ongoing flood recovery efforts.

Beginning Tuesday, August 11 Team Rubicon Canada deployed volunteers, know as Greyshirts, to conduct removal of debris, flooring, drywall and other flood damaged items, answering a request for assistance through Ontario Corp to support and assist residents and homeowners through the difficult process of recovery.

Applications open Saturday, Aug. 1 for the City’s Meridian Centre Community Use Program. Registered charities, incorporated non-profit organizations, and minor not-for-profit sport associations serving St. Catharines and Niagara are invited to apply for 12 free suite tickets to 2026-27 IceDogs home games.
