Fun fall things to do at the City on the October long weekend

Enjoy the last spins of the season at the Lakeside Park Carousel and more fall fun at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm, the St. Catharines Farmers Market, the Garden City Golf Course and other City places and space this long weekend October 10-12.
Lakeside Park Carousel
The Lakeside Park Carousel will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Only five cents a ride. The carousel will close for the season at the end of the day on Monday, Oct. 12. Learn more at stcatharines.ca/carousel.
Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm
See the animals and explore the park at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm. The park is open from dawn to dusk; washrooms are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and animal viewing is available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The washrooms and animal area will close for the season at the end of day Sunday, Oct. 18. St. Catharines Farmers Market
Find the best of everything Niagara grows, bakes, and makes at the St. Catharines Farmers Market, open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.
The Music in the Square concert series features Michelle Hedley Music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This weekend’s feature at the Market Discovery Table is pumpkins 'n fall squash and is presented by PenFinancial Credit Union. Farmers’ Market visitors can learn about the Mushroom Project and the Niagara River Lions as part of the Community Engagement Series.

Garden City Golf Course
The Garden City Golf Course is open all weekend, including Monday, Oct. 12, and off-season rates are in effect. Book tee times for the par-60 executive course online at stcatharines.ca/golf or by calling 905.682.6432. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Sunday, Oct. 25 will be the final day of the season for Garden City Golf Course. Learn more at stcatharines.ca/Golf.
Morningstar Mill
Visit Morningstar Mill and explore the picturesque heritage site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Morningstar Mill is a rural industrial heritage site featuring a working grist mill that was rebuilt in 1872. Tours of the mill and the Morningstar's homestead are free. Donations are welcome. St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
Explore exhibits, watch ships from the viewing platform, explore Discovery Park and more at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday. Admission is by donation.
Don’t miss the Honouring Indigenous Aid travelling exhibit, which pays tribute to the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat Indigenous Peoples in Canada West, now Ontario, who contributed to Irish Famine relief in 1847. The travelling exhibit closes November 30. Learn more at stcatharines.ca/museum.

- Kiwanis Artificial Turf Field and City outdoor sports fields

- Victoria Lawn Cemetery administration office (visitation is always available from dawn to dusk)
