NOTICE: Please note the change in public skating times Tuesday to Friday at the Seymour-Hannah Arena. Public skating will now take place Tuesday to Friday from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm. This is effective as of Wednesday, October 7, 2009 ending Friday, April 30, 2010.

Att*NEW* - effective September 1, 2007, All children 6 years and under must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet when participating in any public skating program. Bike helmets are not permitted. - Children will not be permitted on the ice without a helmet.
Cost: -17 years $2, 18+ years $3, Seniors $2.50, Family (2 adults & 2 youths) $7
Seymour Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre offer skating October 1- August 31 Bill Burgoyne and Haig Bowl Arena offer winter skating only. For more information, please call 905-688-5601 ext. 1927.
PUBLIC SKATING RULES
- C.S.A. approved hockey helmets are mandatory for all skaters 6 years and under and strongly recommended for those 7 years and older. Children not wearing a C.S.A. approved helmet will
not be permitted on the ice. Bike helmets are not acceptable.
- All participants must wear skates while on the ice surface. Those without skates will not be
permitted on the ice surface. Skate guards must be worn in unmated areas throughout the facility.
- Chairs, sleds, strollers, pylons, balls, sticks/pucks etc
are not permitted during public skating.
- No headsets, cell phones or hand held electronic devices are to be used while skating.
- No hockey equipment shall be worn on the ice.
- Food and Drink are not permitted on the ice surface or the players bench.
- Gum chewing is not permitted.
- Horseplay, racing and speed skating is not allowed. No backwards skating, figure skating
maneuvers or erratic skating.
- Refrain from carrying children on shoulders or in arms while skating and no more than 2 skaters may hold hands. Chain skating is not permitted.
- Refrain from throwing snow or ice.
- Please skate at a sensible speed, in the same direction as all skaters. Adhere to the directions of arena staff members, and report all accidents or injuries to arena staff members on duty.
- All people must report any injuries to the management, at the time they occur, regardless of the severity of the injury.
- No sitting on the boards.
- All skaters are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times. Profanity and improper behavior will not be tolerated.
- Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or anyone under the influence, will not be permitted on the premises.
- Smoking is not permitted on the premises.
- No profanity. Repetitive profanity and foul or abusive language will lead to suspension from the building.
- The facility is not responsible for accidents or lost or stolen items.
- There are no refunds on Public Session Admissions.
- Skaters skate at their own risk.
