Recreation Master Plan Recreation and culture has always played an important role in St. Catharines. The City has developed a Recreation Master Plan to ensure leisure opportunities provided by the City of St. Catharines meets the needs of you and your community, now and in the future.
The Recreation Master Plan examines the current provision of recreation and culture services and facilities, and identify strategies to address current gaps, and future needs. The Plan not only determines the requirements for facilities and services, but also defines where new facilities should be located, when they will be necessary, and how these actions can be achieved.
For more information, email the Recreation Department. Please reference "Recreation Master Plan" in the subject line.
Parks Policy Plan This is the final draft of the Parks Policy Plan as it is intended to be delivered to City Council in the near future for approval. The Parks Policy Plan is intended to be a document which provides a strategy for provision, planning, maintaining, and managing a system of parks, open space, and trails in the City, which is responsive to the needs of the citizens of St. Catharines. For further information regarding the plan, you may contact Mr. Jim Benson at the Recreation and Community Services Department.
