Whether for fresh food or art market, a film screening or community event, Market Square provides a venue in the heart of downtown St. Catharines.
The building is a landmark, known for its open-concept design and prominent location.
Market Square is home to the St. Catharines Farmers Market three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Hours of Operation
- Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Farmers' Market Rental Rates - per stall (8x8)
- Daily Rates - $27 + HST
- Charitable / Non-Profit - $15 + HST
Lease Holder Rates (6-12 Months) per month per stall*
- Attending 1 day a week - $100 + HST
- Attending 2 days a week - $88.60 + HST
- Attending 3 days a week - $73.40 + HST
- MYPICK Certified Farmers - $65.80 + HST**
Hydro Fees - $12.50 + HST per month if applicable
*Subject to 85% attendance rate
**Subject to MyPick.ca Certification #
Note: There is a one-time annual St. Catharines Farmers Market Vendor Association Fee of $25
Private Rental
- Commercial - $300 + HST per day
- Charitable - $150 + HST per day
- Cancellation Fee - $50 per booking
Surcharge: $22.47 – $44.94 (for use beyond regular business hours)

Applications
All Food Vendors are required to submit a public health application to the market square office at the same time as your vendor application.

Please note: given space limitations and the need for variety, the St. Catharines Market Square must consider the balance of the products and diversity being offered. Therefore, the market composition will be determined at the discretion of the Clerk.
