Notice of Consideration regarding a By-law to prohibit the use of certain lands for the disposal of waste and establish standards respecting their maintenance, and to repeal and replace By-law 2001-409, a by-law prohibiting the use of certain lands for the disposal of waste.

Pursuant to the Notice By-law 2007-310, as Amended, notice is hereby being given that Council will consider a By-law to prohibit the use of certain lands for the disposal of waste and establish standards respecting their maintenance, and to repeal and replace By-law 2001-409, a by-law prohibiting the use of certain lands for the disposal of waste.

The By-law will be considered at the August 10, 2020 meeting of City Council, which will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held electronically. Persons wishing to address Council or submit correspondence to Council regarding the matter may do so using these methods:

  • Email: email clerks@stcatharines.ca by noon on Monday, August 10. Use the subject line “Disposal of Waste By-law.”
  • Mail: place items in the mail slot at City Hall (50 Church Street) by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, attn: Council Coordinator. The mail slot is located at the James Street entrance of City Hall. 
  • Electronic delegation: complete the City’s electronic delegation form by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 9. In addition to completing the online form, you must also attend a test Zoom session with City staff on Monday, August 10 at 10 a.m. The URL to attend the test session will be emailed to you upon submitting the electronic delegation form.
