Ring in the season at Civic Christmas Carol Concert

Dec. 3, 2019 - Join the City of St. Catharines for a traditional Christmas concert and let the sounds of the season set the tone for the holidays.

The City presents the 29th Annual Civic Christmas Carol Concert Tuesday, Dec. 10 at St. Thomas’ Church. The St. Catharines Civic Brass Ensemble will join with some of the best singers in the city to perform classic Christmas carols. Concertgoers are encouraged to sing along with the performers.

With David Sisler producing, Ross R. Stretton will conduct this year’s massed choirs from Laura Secord Secondary School and Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School. Lesley Kingham will be the organist. Dr. Gervan Fearon, president of Brock University, will offer his perspective on the meaning of Christmas as guest speaker.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Concert begins at noon. Admission is free. Monetary donations will be accepted on behalf of Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.

Since 1990, the Civic Christmas Carol Concert has helped residents usher in the holiday season and raised more than $100,000 for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.
