2018 Trillium Awards honours St. Catharines green thumbs

2018 Trillium Awards recipients-Mayor's Award
The Dupuis family received the Mayor’s Beautification Award, sponsored by the St. Catharines Horticultural Society, recognizing their property at 23 Trinidad Cres. as the best overall property nominated for the 2018 Trillium Awards.

The City of St. Catharines recognized 13 properties with real curb appeal with 2018 Trillium Awards.

During a special reception at City Hall on Monday, Sept. 10, Mayor Walter Sendzik and members of City Council congratulated this year’s Trillium Award recipients.

Mayor Sendzik presented the Mayor’s Beautification Award, sponsored by the St. Catharines Horticultural Society, to the Dupuis family, recognizing their property at 23 Trinidad Cres. This award is presented to the best overall property.

The Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park was recognized with the Green Leader Award, sponsored by the City’s Green Advisory Committee, for making significant contributions to greening the community and inspiring others to do the same.

Trillium Awards were also awarded to recipients in the  Civic Beautification category, sponsored by the Green Advisory Committee

Since 1985, the Trillium Awards have recognized residents and organizations for making St. Catharines a more beautiful, green and friendly place. The City accepted nominations for the 2018 Trillium Awards over the summer.
