City of St. Catharines COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

In support of the City of St. Catharines' commitment to a healthy and safe workplace and community, the City has implemented a COVID-19 Employee Vaccination Policy.

For your safety and the safety of others, if offered a role with the City of St. Catharines, you will be required to demonstrate proof of full vaccination prior to your hire date. Fully vaccinated is defined as having received the completed series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine, as recommended by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, and having received the final dose at least 14 days before your employment start date.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is a documentation verifying receipt of vaccination series approved by the Province of Ontario, Health Canada or the World Health Organization. This can be obtained through the Provincial portal https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/.

The requirement to be fully vaccinated is subject to bona fide medical and/or Human Rights Code exemptions. Any request for an exemption will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and would be subject to the City’s accommodation process.
