Richardson Creek Public Information Centre

Richardson Creek Floodplain Mapping Update and Priority Study

Map of Richardson's CreekThe City of St. Catharines is undertaking an update to the Richardson Creek floodplain mapping in light of the extreme weather event on July 27-28, 2014 during which flooding was experienced in the watershed. The extents of the study area are shown in the figure to the right. The study will include updates to the modeling and floodplain mapping, field walks to assess watercourse conditions and erosion concerns, identification of flood-prone areas and prioritization of remedial works to alleviate flooding concerns.

Public Information Centre

A Public Information Centre (PIC) was held February 22, 2018 to discuss the scope of work for the study and to collect information on flooding concerns in the watershed. The material will be maintained on file for use during the study and may be included in study documentation.
