Downtown St. Catharines has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. The Meridian Centre, the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre Brock University's Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts and other investments and improvements have all made for a more positive downtown experience.

The Downtown Performance Indicators Report establishes a number of areas to study to assess the economic, demographic and development health of Downtown St. Catharines. The study establishes a research framework to measure changes and identify trends year-over-year. The study also draws from past reports and best practices to create a comprehensive overview of the successes and shortcomings of downtown.

Annual reports will be available to review on this page. The first Downtown Performance Indicators Annual Report is expected to be available in early 2018.

Downtown Perception Survey

The City of St. Catharines is looking for your feedback about Downtown St. Catharines.

What are your perceptions of Downtown St. Catharines? What brings you downtown? How do you get downtown? When you are downtown, how easily can you find your way around?

Take our survey and tell us what you think. The survey will be available until Sunday, Dec. 31. Results from the survey will be reported to City Council and will help guide future decision making for downtown plans, projects and initiatives.
