The City of St. Catharines is involved with several boards to help address specific issues affecting St. Catharines residents.

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre Board Applications

City Council has approved a plan to transition the operational control of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre to a new municipal service board. The Board's mandate will be to promote, develop, and encourage the performing arts in the City of St. Catharines, operate the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre and associated business, and to provide related services for the benefit of the City of St. Catharines.

The FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre Board is seeking to fill one (1) vacancy on the Board.

Application Process

  • Applications must be submitted through this online form.
  • If you are unable to complete the application form or need assistance, please call 905.688.5600 and a member of our Citizens First team will be happy to assist you in completing the form over the phone.
  • Applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018.
  • City Council is scheduled to make a recommendation at a meeting in early 2019; applicants may be contacted for an interview prior to Council making its recommendation.

NPCA Board Applications

At its meeting of November 12, 2018, St. Catharines City Council passed a motion seeking a citizen appointment to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) Board of Directors.

Sorry, applications are no longer being accepted for the NPCA Board of Directors. Applications were due by end of day November 28, 2018.
