Title:  Bridging Our Future
Category:  Exhibits
Address:  50 Church St, St Catharines, ON L2R 7C2, City Hall

This exhibit tells a story of the Niagara community celebrating a coming together. More than 200 people participated in the creation of this mobile mural at the 2017 Pow Wow at Montebello Park on October 1, 2017. It is the work of many cultures working together, led by professionals in the arts and humanities.

The mural is made up of five canvases that are designed to be displayed together. It explores a vision emerging from First Nations culture, as well as new connections and friendships, between Native and non-Native peoples. Unity is honoured within this expression of diversity.

This project brought together Seedling for Change in Society & Environment (SCS&E) and the Niagara Regional Native Centre (NRNC). Their partnership resulted in an opportunity to educate people on First Nations culture through the delivery of “street art.” Bridging Our Future begins a new partnership and friendship between the two organizations. The City of St. Catharines is proud to host their expression of unity at City Hall, as a wrap up of Canada 150+.
