City continues to adjust programming and services

The City of St. Catharines continues to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously, and following the advice of provincial and federal leaders continues to make changes to services and programming to help protect health and well-being of the community.

St. Catharines Arts Awards: The City has postponed its 2020 Arts Awards. Organizers are working on rescheduling the event, and will announce more details as they become available at stcatharines.ca/artsawards.

City spring program registrations postponed in response to COVID-19

As City facilities remain closed to the public, and residents continue to do their part in the ongoing effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, registration for spring programs is postponed indefinitely.

Online resident registration was originally set to begin March 24, and in person registrations set to start on March 25. The City has decided to postpone these dates, as Community, Recreation and Culture staff move to reschedule programming in light of ongoing facility closures.

City of St. Catharines introduces grace period for payments to assist residents and businesses

The City of St. Catharines is introducing a payment grace period to support residents and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The City has also suspended payment for parking on street, and in municipal lots.

The grace period for payment – which runs until June 30 – means late fees and interest penalties will not be applied to water and tax payments, as well as accounts receivables. Water bills continue to be issued across the City as scheduled.

The City of St. Catharines continues to take COVID-19 seriously, and in following the advice of provincial and federal leaders is making significant changes to services and programming to help protect health and wellbeing of the community.
