Infinity Playplace at Lester B. Pearson Park
The Infinity Playplace located on the Niagara Street Frontage of Lester B. Pearson Park opened in 2001. The park is the City´s first accessible playground which offers accessible play opportunities which meet the varied needs of children of a wide range of challenges.
The playplace features a looped ramp system accessible to wheel chair users, wide decks, visual orientation strips at openings inaddition to a significant number of play opportunities. The playplace offers three distinct play themes to inspire the imagination. The entire surface of the play area is made of rubber to be fully accessible throughout. The playplace was funded by the St. Catharines Kiwanis Club with the object that a playplace be created that could be enjoyed by all children and that brothers and sisters could play side by side regardless of ability.
The site also boasts a splash pad.
