Temporary Relocation of Beach Volleyball

Beach volleyball is being relocated from Lakeside Beach to Sunset Beach due to the rising water levels in Lake Ontario.

  • Sunset Beach will be used temporarily to host beach volleyball rentals made originally for Lakeside Park.
  • The existing volleyball courts at Sunset Beach will be used and up to six temporary, portable nets will be added at Sunset Beach as needed by permit holders.
  • The temporary nets at Sunset Beach will be put up and taken down only for permitted bookings. The temporary nets will not be in place overnight.
  • Groups will be relocated back to Lakeside Beach once it is safe to do so.
  • Residents can call Citizens First at 905.688.5600 if they have any questions about beach volleyball.
