The Twelve Mile Creek Park runs along the course of the waterway and provides opportunities for hiking, exploring the plants and animals of the valley and connecting to the Merritt Trail. Portions of the Twelve Mile Creek were used for the routes of the First and Second Welland Canals. The trail travels close to the edge of the water and can be accessed via the hydro corridor near Wallace and Pelham roads, near the Glendale Bridge and at the lower Burgoyne Bridge. This park is 7.9 hectares.
